Quote of the Month
“The Lord is more anxious to forgive our sins than a woman is to carry her baby out of a burning building.”  Saint John Vianney (1786 – 1859)

Dear Cabell and Susie,

“Can I please stay there I am pregnant and homeless?” – A sample from our inbox.   Gmail suggests two responses: “Yes, of course you can.” “No, I’m sorry.”  Too often we have to say “no.”  So we continue to strive for the purchase of a third home to provide long term shelterup to two years from birth—for these mothers who want their babies and desperately need help.
And we also continue to celebrate, welcome, and nurture new life.  In May we told you of the birth of our 50th baby—a great milestone!  Last week we welcomed another new birth, Camden.  His mother and his big sister Everleigh moved in a month ago.  And another mom’s baby is due next week!
Welcome Camden!  New Eve’s 51st baby!

Say hello to Everleigh, Camden’s big sister!
Our two homes are sheltering 5 mothers and 11 children, and a new expectant mother is expected to move in next week.

To help us keep a roof over all these heads, please save the date of April 18, 2026 for our lu’au dinner.  Yes, a lu’au in Winchester!  It will be at the beautiful 6Pastures Farm.  You will be entertained by the dancers and musicians of Melissa Mokihana Scalph’s traditional hula school Hala Ka’ahupuna.  More details will follow.
As for volunteers, the Trail Life boys from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church are keeping the yards of our homes beautiful, and Sacred Heart’s Exodus 90 men are performing many handyman projects.  Vince and Barbara Criste and their family and friends hosted a fun and fruitful dance party fundraiser in Front Royal.  Our “New Eve Program” for helping and mentoring our mothers continues to include our “Dress for Success” paid shopping trips for mothers and the Tuesday evening programs.  Recent program topics are speaking and oral reading development for young children, conscious discipline, and speech and language.
Did I mention we need more babysitters and volunteers?  New Eve runs on volunteers.  Maybe you are interested in helping?  To learn more about volunteer opportunities at New Eve, click HERE.
We are thankful for your prayers and gifts.  We maintain an Amazon Wish list for needed items for our residents and houses.
We are supported entirely by private donations.  You can click HERE to donate.  In fact, New Eve has a small but dedicated group of “Heavenly Host” monthy donors.  Examples of monthly giving levels include:
  • $250 (or more each month) = Seraphim Donor
  • $100 (or more each month) = Cherubim Donor
  • $50 (or more each month) = Archangel Donor
  • $10 (or more each month) = Angel Donor

Recurring donations of ANY size are welcome.  Thanks in advance for your support of our New Eve moms and babies!

You can also donate your used vehicle to help support New Eve.

FYI for New Eve friends who are employed by the US Government (including the US Postal Service, US Military, or US Civilian employees), you can also consider donating to New Eve Maternity Home through the Combined Federal Campaign.  Our CFC # is 16205.  Spread the word!

Thank you and God bless you,

Cabell Angle
President
